A Plan Area has been established for the Butte Regional Conservation Plan that covers approximately the western half of Butte County, and includes the entire extent of vernal pool landscapes within Butte County. The Plan Area provides a focus on the areas of greatest conflict between growth and development and federal and state protected species.
